Behind The Scenes With Natalie Muspratt

We’ve been talking to talented papercrafter and designer Natalie Muspratt, as she gives us a behind-the-scenes look at her exciting role at one of the UK’s leading papercraft manufacturers, Hunkydory Crafts.

Behind The Scenes With Natalie Muspratt

What is Your Job Role?
I am the Creative Team Co-ordinator at Hunkydory Crafts. Within my role, I work closely with our brilliant group of internal and external design teams, as well as our very talented TV demonstrators. I am responsible for the production and distribution of finished samples, being the main point of contact between both the design teams who create wonderful samples and the buying team over at Create and Craft. It’s my job to make sure that the finished samples you see on TV and in our Crafting with Hunkydory Magazines are made to the highest standard.

Early on in my role, I began co-hosting our weekly Facebook Live show. Before we launch a new collection on Create and Craft, we present a first look of the products to our Facebook viewers. We show card models of what crafters can create and provide a quick demonstration of the products, offering our viewers an in-depth look of what is coming out. We also offer competitions giving our viewers the chance to win a bundle of the new collection.

What Do You Enjoy Most About Your Role?
I love that I get to spend every day around creative people. I have learnt so much from our demonstrators and cardmakers. Getting the first glimpse of a new collection is always a good moment, and I always enjoy seeing the amazing finished samples that are produced by our fantastic design team.

Do You Have a Favourite Collection?
My favourite collection since I started working for Hunkydory has to be Birthday Bonanza. The large letter dies are my favourite. The collection is so fun and everything coordinates so well. I have used it for every birthday card I have made since its launch.

What Advice Can You Offer Crafters?
Always explore new techniques, and ideas… you never know what amazing things you can teach yourself.
