1. Using a 3.5cm circle die, cut eight discs from chipboard and sixteen circles from patterned paper. Glue the patterned circles to either side of the discs and punch a hole through the centre of each.
2. Cut four 10cm long strips of card with widths ranging between 4cm to 10cm, depending on your desired reel size.
3. Wrap the card strip around a pen and secure with doublesided tape. Cover the tubes with patterned paper and slide off the cylinder.
4. Apply a strong adhesive to one end of the tube and attach a disc to the centre. Stick a disc to the other end and leave upright to dry before wrapping lace or ribbon around the reels. Secure the decoration with a pin.
