The Sew Easy Stitch Piercer from We R Memory Keepers makes adding stitching to your projects easy and means you don’t have to drag out a cumbersome sewing machine. With 15 interchangeable heads available, this rotary stitch piercer creates perfectly aligned holes in over 25 designs and patterns. It’s really easy to switch between stitch patterns. Simply insert your chosen head into the end of the tool and rotate it. Here, we’ve got a lovely tag by Corinne Bradd for you to try. • Cut a piece of striped paper to 8cm by 11cm and run the blanket stitch wheel down each long side, 1cm from the edge. Take care to line the tool up so the hole placement is level across the paper.
• Use three strands of embroidery thread to sew blanket stitch down each side of the paper. Take a second colour and sew from side to side diagonally to create a diamond mesh pattern between the rows of blanket stitch.
• Mount the paper onto coloured card and trim to leave a 2mm border. Punch a hole in the top corner and thread with narrow ribbon. Add a message diagonally across the tag.
