If like Maxcine Etherington you love all things bright, colourful and sparkly, then you’ll adore her cheery easel card. Based on the humble bumble, simply die cut flowers to make a greeting sure to sweeten any mood. And as another year approaches, it’s the perfect opportunity to spread positivity with encouraging sentiments. Plus, it can elegantly stand on a coffee table for a continued boost throughout the year.

METHOD
1 Take a shaped card blank. Take another the same size, cut in half and adhere along the top to create the easel element. Cover the card with floral patterned paper.

2 Die cut a large stitched circle through both layers to create an aperture. Fix twine to the back of a sentiment topper and attach floral patterned paper to the reverse. Hang the topper from the back of the aperture and tie the twine into a bow.

3 Die cut several leaves and chrysanthemums in different sizes, then shape with an embossing tool. Mount on top of each other and secure to the card with 3D foam pads, attaching three chrysanthemums to the bottom of the greeting to act as a stopper. Add sentiments to the front of the card, then finish with glitter glue and gems.
