Card making Die cutting How to Stamping Techniques Card Making
Merge washes of colour together with Kitty Frampton’s magical unicorn card. You can pretty much use any type of dye-based ink to create this style of background. You can also try aqua crayons, aqua markers and watercolours to achieve an equally lovely effect. Don’t worry if your background isn’t looking like ours straight away; it really is a case of building up hues to create your desired effect. Plus, no two creations are ever the same!
YOU WILL NEED:

Dies: My Favorite Things Die-namics Magical Unicorns, Stitched Clouds, Stitched Rectangle Frame
Ink pads: Ranger Distress Spun Sugar, Pickled Raspberry, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Broken China
Copic markers
Cardstock: lilac, white; watercolour

METHOD:
1. Cut watercolour card to measure 11cm x 14cm. Scribble pink distress ink onto acetate and lightly spray with water until the ink creates little beads. Place face down onto the watercolour card and gently rub the back of the acetate with your fingers to spread the ink.
2. Remove the acetate, blot any large ink pools with kitchen roll, then heat dry. Repeat with more blue and lilac inks. Trim to measure 10.5cm x 13.5cm and adhere to a white 11cm x 14cm blank. Die cut a rectangular frame from lilac card, then three clouds from white, before adhering to the card with 3D foam pads.
3. Stamp two unicorns and a castle in black ink, colour in and trim using the coordinating dies. Attach each one onto a cloud with 3D foam pads. Stamp a sentiment onto white and fix in place.
