Your penguin digi stamp is sized perfectly for this shadow box card from Colette Smith. So you’re free to get printing and get started right away. You can always trust Colette to go the extra mile. We asked her for a Christmas scene; she gave us a 3D Christmas scene using basic materials to brilliant effect, with a skiing penguin! If her shadow box card isn’t worthy of a place on the festive mantelpiece, then we don’t know what is.

YOU WILL NEED:
Penguin digi stamp
Stamps, Mama Elephant Puffy Holiday Greetings
Ink pad, Versafine Onyx Black
Cardstock: white, pink, greens, teal
Alcohol markers
Gel pen, white
Glue

METHOD:

1. Take white card, 13cm x 21cm. Score down at 1cm, 4cm, 17cm and 20cm. Snip a triangle from each corner, then a 9cm square aperture from the centre

2. Cut a 13cm square of white cardstock and matt teal card, 10.5cm square, on top

3. Snip two 2.5cm x 12.5cm strips of pink card. Trim another panel, 12.5cm square, then cut a 9.5cm square aperture from its centre

4. Attach the pink strips to the two side sections, and the frame around the aperture. Cut two pieces of white card, 7.5cm x 15cm and 5.5cm x 15cm

5. Trim the large piece from the top-left corner to 5.5cm up bottom-right. Snip the small panel from the top-right to 2cm up from the bottom-left. Score each piece at 1cm and 14cm

6. Fix the tab at the short end of the small panel to the reverse of the box front, lining up the edge with the inner score line. Attach the tall end of the other piece behind the smaller one

7. Snip triangles from shades of green in various sizes. Glue to the larger panel, some on the back as if behind the hill and some in front

8. Print, colour and trim the penguin digi stamp. Fix to the back of the smaller diagonal section, then adhere the tabs on the other side to complete the box

9. Add snow to the top of the teal panel with a white gel pen, then glue to the back of the box. Stamp a sentiment in black, cut out and attach bottom-right
