The best way to give your celebrations your own look is to craft it yourself and there’s no better place to go to for all your handmade festive fripperies than your craft shop. Here we’ve whipped up a range of Scandi-themed decorations and gifting ideas all with products from One Stop Craft Shop to show you how easy it is to create a strong look from just one retailer.

As you can see we’ve wrapped gifts using Handmade Paper in dots and snowflake designs (£2.10 per 38cm x 56cm sheet) and finished them with Anita’s Everyday Spotted Ribbon in Radient Red (90p for 3m roll), all available from the online retailer. We’ve also added a crafty touch with our pressies and decs using decoupage, die-cutting and paper sculpting to create a super Scandi-inspired look.

You can see other festive makes here : decoupage boxes, paper-stars

METHOD: Decoupage decs

Paint each letter with a thick layer of linen acrylic paint and leave to dry.
Create your Christmas Paper Stars

Trace each shape twice onto a sheet of decoupage paper in your chosen design and cut to size remembering to take account of the edge of each shape.

Working on a flat, clean surface, place each shape face down on the back of your selected patterned paper. Flip and smooth out any crease or bubbles with a brush. Repeat on the other side. TIP: For a shiny effect apply a think layer of PVA over the shapes once they are completely dry
