How to make a heart garland

YOU WILL NEED:

Patterned papers, Baker’s Twine, Ribbon, Scissors, Stapler

Cut a 1.5cm x 21cm strip of paper from three different patterned sheets. Stack together and fold in half
How to make a heart garland

Make a loop from a 12cm length of baker’s twine and staple this to the centre fold of the strips, joining all three layers together
How to make a heart garland

Fold the strips back over the loop and staple through six layers to create the top indentation of the heart
How to make a heart garland

Trim the layers of paper to different lengths, cutting 4cm off each outer strip and 2cm from the middle strips. Leave the inner strips uncut

Curl the strips gently over the blade of a pair of scissors or around a pencil so they fan out from the centre

Bend each strip right over to create a heart shape and staple all six ends together to hold them in place

Create a garland from several hearts tied onto a bright satin ribbon to decorate a window frame or banister
