Birthday crafting Card making How to Papercraft Papercrafter Party makes Techniques Card Making
Add an extra dose of sparkle into your crafting with an enchanting unicorn greeting! Corinne Bradd uses the stunning Shimelle Glitter Girl collection to create this on-trend design. Be sure to add striking accents to your cards in contemporary shades of pink and turquoise with hints of gold foil for an all-round stylish look.
YOU WILL NEED: Craft essentials, Paper collection: Shimelle Glitter Girl, Circle dies: 5cm, 8.5cm, Flower punch, Washi tape
METHOD
1 Cover a 10.5cm x 15cm portrait blank with navy star paper. Create an 8cm x 11cm rectangle from yellow star paper and fix to the bottom-right of the card.
2 Cut a 6cm x 9cm frame from botanical paper, then flip over to reveal the lightning bolt design, before adhering to the top-left of the first rectangle. Trim the pink star patterned header strips at an angle and fix each strip to the top-right and bottom-left corners of the card.
3 Take the ‘You’re pure’ sentiment strip, angle the ends and fix to the top-left using 3D foam pads. Cut around the ‘magic’ sentiment, leaving a 2mm border and place to the right of the card. Die cut the unicorn motif into a 5cm circle and adhere using 3D foam pads.
4 Use a small flower punch and gold glitter tape to create tiny self-adhesive shapes, arrange in sets of three and fix to the greeting.
