Our Issue 137 Designer for the Day

For many of us, being crafty started at a young age beginning with something as simple as colouring in a picture. But who says the creativity has to stop there? We spoke to Charlotte Pauls, whose childhood pastime has now become a lifelong passion, bringing her to this issue as our Designer for the Day. We are certain that Charlotte’s space-themed card is sure to make its recipient feel over the moon!

Our Issue 137 Designer for the Day

You will need:
Craft essentials
Pens:Pro markers
Acetate
Glitter
Glossy accents
Punch: star shaped
Gemstones
Stamps:spacemen
Dies: circle, clock, rocket and plane

Method:
1.Use a 17.5cm x 12.5cm blank and emboss the front with a dotted cream blank. Then cut out a circle aperture from patterned paper and mount onto card front. Stamp and colour spacemen and star balloons. Die cut rocket shapes and the smaller planet from red card and add to the design.

2. To make the round earth, cut out one blue and one green circle. The blue circle is for the whole earth and the green circle is to cut out the continents. Cut out the continents and glue to the whole blue circle to make the globe. Create a moon by cutting out a cream coloured circle, adding glitter, round silver stickers or gems to it to appear as craters.

3. Add gems and mirror card stars to decorate. Finally mount the sentiment onto the card front to finish.
