Having down time and allowing yourself to indulge in your crafting hobbies is high on our agenda and this issue’s Designer for the Day Marianne Fisher, is lucky enough to escape to her own crafting den! Marianne’s adorable card enables you to nail your layering techniques and branch out with stamp colouring, bringing her little mouse to life! Be sure to have a go at making her Lovely Day card.

You will need:
Craft essentials
Lili of the Happy Birthday Pots digi stamp set
Copics pens
First Edition Gardenia 6 x 6 paper pad
MFT wonky stitched rectangle die
Memory Box dragonfly die
Your Next Stamp grass tuft edge die
MFT mini cloud stencil
Docrafts hessian butterfly
Crafty Ribbons ladybird ribbon
Computer and printer
Die Cutting machine


Method:
1.Download and print the mouse, pot and sentiment from the Happy Birthday stamp set onto white blank. Draw a line and flower onto the leaves on the pot. Colour the images using Copics and die cut using a wonky stitched rectangle die. Colour the sky using Copics and the mini cloud stencil. 
2.Fold and score kraft card in half to form a 14.4cm square card blank. Cut backing paper 13.8cm square. Cut watering can paper 11cm square and attach at an angle. Add the image.
3.Cut a 4cm strip of the spotted paper and die cut using the grass tuft edge die. Wrap ribbon around the spotted paper, securing the ends underneath. Attach paper to blank.
4.Die cut a dragonfly from kraft card and place above the sentiment. Attach a hessian butterfly above the mouse, gluing a bead in the centre.
