Card making Christmas cards Card Making
Christmas isn’t Christmas without mixed media, and luckily we’re on hand to give you the instructions on how to craft this stunning make.
YOU WILL NEED:
Craft essentials
Dies: Lawn Fawn Outside In stitched Rectangles; Tim Holtz Thinlits Holiday Greens
Stamps: Christmas sentiments
Stencils: Tim Holtz Latticework
Ink pads, Nuvo Diamond Hybrid Merry & Bright
Embossing powders, Nuvo Sportscar Red, Turquoise Lagoon
Cosmic Shimmer Moonlight Pearl Luna Paste
Liquitex light modelling paste
Vellum
METHOD:
1 Apply the Light Modelling Paste to a panel of white through a Lattice stencil. Sprinkle immediately with Turquoise Lagoon and Sportscar Red. Let the paste dry before you heat set the embossing powders. Once dry, heat and trim the panel.
2 Apply an Outside In rectangle die to create a border. Heat emboss the sentiment onto strip of vellum cut into a pennant. Add a small touch of glue behind the strip, then wrap the straight edge of the banner around and secure it to the back of the panel. Add 3D foam tape along the reverse of the panel.
3 Die cut Holiday Greens, add Luna Paste to them, then adhere behind and on top of the panel. Lightly sponge a 10.5cm x 15cm card blank with the Moroccan Teal ink, then embellish with a few Glitter drops.
