Card making How to Papercraft Papercrafter Card Making
The shadow card you’ll find below has a noteworthy design, choice patterned papers, daring motifs, and is just so fun to make. Circus themed makes are surprisingly rare, and this stunning greeting has all the pomp of a showman working his magic.
YOU WILL NEED:
Patterned papers: Craft Consortium Circus
Stamps: Craft Consortium Circus Greatest Show, The Circus
Embellishments: Wood Shapes, Adhesive Stars, Big Top Charms; baker’s twine
Dies: square
Adhesives, 3D foam pads
METHOD:
1 Trim two pieces of white card to 13.5cm square, then cover with red. Snip diamond paper to 12.5cm square, adhere onto one of the red panels and die cut an 8cm square through it. Run washi tape along the bottom. Attach a lion motif on the right-hand side and a sentiment towards the top-left with 3D foam pads.
2 Stamp, colour and cut out star bunting. Secure along the top of the square aperture and add a pearlescent star to the top. Trim patterned paper to 13.5cm square and die cut a 6cm square through it. Stamp, colour and cut out a ringmaster figure, then attach to the front of the panel using 3D foam pads.
3 Die cut a 4cm stitched square from patterned paper and a 5cm stitched square from red. Attach to the centre of the base panel with 3D foam pads. Thread baker’s twine through charm, tie into a bow, then adhere on top.
4 Trim four pieces of patterned paper to 4cm x 13.5cm, score down from the longer side at every 1cm interval, then concertina fold. Attach two pieces down the sides of the back panel, then fix the patterned paper panel on top. Secure the remaining two pieces down the sides and glue the final panel on top.
