FREE Mama Makes Happy Christmas Digi Stamps

If we’re ever lost for words – okay, it doesn’t happen often! – we immediately head to Mama Makes. It’s a treasure trove for top-notch phrases, which is particularly handy when you don’t know how to convey your feelings. Heartwarming and just the right level of gushy, this seven-piece download features five sentiments and two illustrations for your Christmas cards. Read on to discover what you can make with them…

Shake it!
Our designer Kitty Day has made a showstopper of a shaker card. She created the reindeer background on her computer, duplicating the motif multiple times and rotating it until she was happy. You can do this on programmes such as Photoshop, or even free websites such as canva.com. Once printed and dry, she blended pink distress oxide inks onto it. Then she applied the usual acetate, die-cut frame and 3D foam pads technique to achieve the finished result.

Digital decoupage
If you think digi stamps are intimidating, think again. Treat them like your regular stamped motifs. For her lilac bus greeting, Kitty even did a spot of 3D decoupage. Print the bus digi stamp twice. Keep one complete and colour it in. Colour and cut out the ‘North Pole’ section of the second bus, then adhere on top with 3D foam pads – hey presto! You could even keep going with the wheels and presents.

Play on words
The sentiments are the stars of this digi stamp collection, so let them take centrestage. They’re so strong as they are; simply mount them onto coloured or glitter card and raise them with 3D foam pads. Keep it relatively clean and create the blue snowflake greeting, or let the white sentiment pop by crafting a layered background, such as Kitty’s tartan design. The gold touches make for a really warming result.
