Colour talk
For most of the cards opposite, Kitty Day has opted for the traditional red and green palette, but don’t feel as if you need to stick with these two colours. Kitty has also used a frosty blue scheme, subtle lilacs, and a pretty in pink look which all work perfectly well with the classic style of these digi stamps. Just make sure you don’t go overboard – we recommend sticking to two coordinating colours or utilising different shades of the same colour for cohesive results.

Finer details
As you can see, these digi stamps are incredibly detailed which is brilliant for practising colouring and shading techniques. Kitty has used her trusty set of alcohol markers for this, applying more pressure for deeper hues and a lighter pressure for subtle colour. But what’s her secret for the finer details? If you look closely, she has applied Nuvo Glitter Drops to some areas such as the flower centres and bows. You only need the tiniest amount for subtle sparkling effects.

Mini motifs
The larger digi stamps will be the main focus of your card, but how do you make the smaller motifs the star of the show? Kitty has cleverly used a trio of mini digi stamps on her ‘Have a cosy Christmas’ card opposite, fixing each one onto scalloped circular die-cuts with 3D foam pads. Arrange them together onto the card front and you’ve got yourself a striking greeting. The shapes draw your eye to the motifs and 3D foam pads help with dimension.
