Variety is the spice of life, but we also know that co-ordination is key for spectacular papercrafts. With issue 105 you receive a beautifully intricate border die, plus a corner, sentiment, three motif and four border stamps – use them together for limitless crafting possibilities! Colette Smith spent an afternoon testing out a few combinations and made some really fabulous projects – check them out on pages 17-21 of the magazine, but these tools are so versatile that we couldn’t fit all the makes in there! Hanging Decoration
1 Paint the sides and back of the Paper Mache heart white, allow to dry and cover the front with pale pink card.
2 Stamp thirteen hearts in black ink and colour with shades of pink. Cut out and stick to the front of the heart.
3 Add a pink ribbon bow to the base of the hanger and decorate each heart with a gem.
Trio of Hearts
1 Mat a slightly smaller piece of pink textured card onto an A6 blank.
2 Stamp out three hearts in black, colour in shades of pink and cut out.
3 Mat the hearts vertically onto textured card 3cm x 8.5cm, then stick onto white card and trim leaving a narrow border.
4 Attach to the centre of the blank with foam tape and add a gem to each heart.
Floral Frame
1 Die cut two scallop-edged squares from yellow card, then use a smaller square die to remove an aperture from the centre of one and punch small holes around it.
2 Layer a photo between the scallop-edged shapes and glue to secure. Add another square of card on the reverse to reinforce, then fold a small piece of card and glue to the back to make a stand.
3 Add a pearl in each of the punched holes. Stamp four flowers and colour with a pale yellow ProMarker. Cut out, then stick one in a top corner and layer three opposite. Finish with a gem in the centre of each.
