This gorgeous red and green beauty is just what we need to welcome us home from our holidays this summer. Designer Jenny Pearce says “I like the hanging element on my card - the keyring with these pretty charms would come in handy in a new home too! Simply remove the brad to detach the charm”. We can’t wait to make it!
Docrafts Papermania Country Life Collection: Chicken Wire Acetate, A6 Cards, Ultimate Die-Cut Decoupage Kit, Charm Pack, Adhesive Tiles, twine, 3D foam pads, silver brad, jump rings, key ring, round-nosed pliers
• Fold back the top corner of a 10cm x 15cm blank and stick down. Line the back inside with green heart paper. Assemble the kitchen drawers 3D decoupage motif with 3D foam pads and stick to the card, overlapping the flap. Add a round heart motif to the bottom right and adhesive green tiles to the flap sections. Round the other three corners of the card.
• Using the centre of an oval tag from the kit as a template, draw around it onto the lower section of the card to create an oval aperture. Cut out from the front layer of the card only with a craft knife. Line the reverse of the aperture with chicken wire acetate. Stick a ‘Home Sweet Home’ tag to the rectangular label and position at the centre of the window with twine bows each side.
• For the removable keyring, attach a jump ring for each of the metal charms to hang from and with two more jump rings attached chain fashion to the key ring, hang from a brad secured to the top right corner on the back inside of the card. Hide the brad with another burgundy heart motif. Add two twine bows to the front.
