METHOD: Paper Easter Eggs

Cover thin card with patterned paper and, using your free template, trace the egg onto the reverse and cut out. Use a needle to make a series of holes along the long edges of the eggs, making sure there are the same amount of holes along each side.

Fold the score lines and use three strands of embroidery thread to oversew the sides of the eggs together. Do this by knotting the thread on the inside and working from the base to the top on each side.

Stamp a greeting onto scrap card, trim and mount onto an egg motif cut from patterned paper. Take embroidery cotton and tie the motif at the top of the egg, securing with a bow. Happy Easter!
